true story i moved a lady nice lady, me and my guys were on this job for 6 hour in the hot blazing sun moving her out of a 3rd floor 2 bed room apartment movers,when i book the job i did a estimate of her place a full walk through, she said theirs only 2-3 furniture pieces going,the goodwill was taking the rest before the agreed upon moving date not true.
goodwill never came same furniture was still there on moving day,now she wanted the goodwill furniture moved to storage all so,I agreed to do it and not charge a penny more for the add-on furniture had to make 2 trips to storage because of the add on goodwill furniture.
Now mind you no elevator , we had to walk down three flights of long stairs,long not complaining its all in a days work so we got it done, she had very few box's mostly heavy furniture we blanket and shrinkwraped ever thing even help her pack some boxes for her 10 boxes for free no charge.
Nice lady i wanted to make the move as stress free as possible for her, but it was not stress free for me i never get paid by the customer, never got paid.
working on the last load we had made 2 trip to storage the truck was 3/4 empty its hell hot want to get done asap the guys wanted something to drink so i go to the store to get drinks she the customer had paid me earlier that day for the move giving her a total price of what the cost will be she wrote me a check for the move and a $200.00 tip im happy she happy telling us how great of a job were doing and that she works at a car dealership she going to let all her friends know about us.

I go to get the drink next door to the store was her bank,why not i kill to birds with one stone, go in the bank try to cash the check only to be told its no good,no funds in the account and that the account was closed 6 months ago,damn.
I go back to storage to ask her about this before i could get a word out she begins to us profanity tell me how she was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer with only 6 months to live and that shes not paying me a dam thing yes this happen to me she refuse to pay me.
I tell her, keeping it professional that im calling the police, she says no,no she pull out her phone and called the police on me,you cant make this up, yes this really happen to me, and similar cases like this happens a lot to me and other moving companies but we never speak about it you never hear us talk rogue customers.
